Halogen-free is defined using international standards IEC61249-2-21. Total chlorine (Cl) and bromine (Br) concentrations in homogeneous content should be less than 900ppm, and the total CL and Br concentrations should be less than 1500ppm.
All Chalmax products are RoHS compliant, meaning they are free of lead and mercury.
When lead (mercury) content in homogeneous material is less than 0.1 percent (1000ppm) of material weight, it is considered a Pb-free or Hg-free product, according to applicable regulatory requirements of EU RoHS (2011/65/EU).
A third-party test center’s homogeneous material dissolving report result is called RoHS test result for RoHS prohibited substances.
The RoHS test report released by the SGS test center is known as the SGS report. When the test is entrusted to another test center, the report will be named after that test center (e.g. Intertek, CTI, ETC).
The ICP report is a high-precision research instrument called an ICP (inductive coupling plasma spectrometer) that is used by test centers to perform RoHS studies. The report is named after the equipment and also indicates that the product has been thoroughly examined.
The RoHS test report, SGS report, and ICP report are all the same form of the test report. SGS is in charge of all RoHS testing for Chalmax products.
Chalmax has received a number of certifications, including efficiency, environmental, protection, hygiene, hazard substance-free, and a Corporate Social Responsibility Report.
